9-Phenanthrol是一种瞬时受体电位美拉他汀4 (TRPM4)抑制剂。在100µM下，它对TRPM4优于TRPM5具有选择性。9-菲咯酚(100µM)降低离体小鼠右心房自发跳动的心率。在离体缺血再灌注损伤模型中，它可减少离体大鼠心脏梗死面积和细胞凋亡。在体内，9-Phenanthrol可降低大鼠脑动脉的肌原性张力。
