6(5H)-Phenanthridinone是聚(adp -核糖)聚合酶1 (PARP1)和PARP2的抑制剂。它降低辐射诱导的PARP活性和RDM4小鼠淋巴瘤细胞的增殖。6(5H)-Phenanthridinone降低NF-κ b诱导的大鼠淋巴细胞中编码TNF-α、IL-2和IFN-γ基因的转录。在体内，6(5H)-phenanthridinone可降低实验性自身免疫性脑脊髓炎(EAE)大鼠脊髓诱导型一氧化氮合酶(iNOS)、IL-1β、TNF-α、IL-2和IFN-γ的表达，并降低疾病评分。它还能降低血清乳酸脱氢酶水平、肝脂质过氧化、氧化性DNA损伤和PARP水平。
